Short biography

Julie Galsbos art is about the reality surrounding us. She explores both the intimate such as dust and dirt around us as well as mass media coverage of conflicts far away. Her art works focus on the seamy side of life in late modernity, among others waste and war. Galsbo is interested in materiality and performance as well as representation but her choice of media solely depends on the idea behind the art work. Beside her artistic practice she also works curatorial with the subjects.
